Then, you actually arrive at your new place of employment and the nerves start to kick in. Your hands start to get a little shaky and you start worrying about several things:

Tips for Helping New Employees Face First Day Nervousness

Make sure your new employees are greeted with a smile and a kind welcome.
The proper greeting can make a HUGE difference in the new employee's first impression of their new workplace. If you simply smile, say "good morning, welcome!" - and just treat them how you would want to be treated if the roles were reversed, you could be helping so much with easing their first day nerves.

Introduce your new employees to everyone possible and not just the employees at their level.
Showing that even the leaders of your company are welcoming and happy to meet your new employee can do wonders for making them feel welcome. It's nice to know that the people you are working for, even from the top, are kind and grateful to have you there.

Communicate with your whole staff via e-mail to welcome the new employees.
This really doesn't take that long. Send a quick e-mail to your whole staff, letting everyone know that you have a new employee and to welcome them! This is clear communication and allows everyone to get on the same page as far as treating this new employee as a new member of your work family.

Get this new employee's office space prepared ahead of time.
It can be really annoying for a new employee to have to set up their own computer and organize their very own workspace, that was clearly left in a mess, on their first day. This is something that should be done for them ahead of time. This is part of welcoming a new employee and helping them with their first day nervousness.
