Stress-Relief Tips for Working From Home

Manage your time strategically from home, just like you would in the office.
Give yourself the time you need to complete your tasks. Feeling like you don’t have enough time to do that can be a top cause of stress. Combat this by managing your time more efficiently. For example, if you should your children will be napping from 11am-Noon, take advantage of that time quiet time to get some work done. Do your best to adapt to this new situation. Make a schedule and a to-do list.

Stay healthy while working from home.
Sitting in front of your laptop 8 hours a day can not only be hard on your eyes but your body as well. Get up and move around, take breaks, work outside, and get some Vitamin D whenever possible.

Manage the stress you feel from working from home in a healthy way.
Everyone feels stress from their job from time to time, that is just life, but you can deal with your stress in healthy ways. For example, practice some breathing exercises when you start to feel overwhelmed. Try to find the positivity you may experience from working from home, such as no drive time.

Vent your frustrations in a healthy manner.
Don’t let your feelings “bottle up” within you and reach out to your support group, whether that means co-workers, friends, or family for you. You can still video chat and social distance. Lean on those you care about in order to express your concerns. Just voicing your worries can relieve stress and better your situation. It can help you to stop overanalyzing a situation and relax.
