Are you hoping to make some additions to your team in 2020? It can be hard to really get to know someone in just a couple of interviews. This HR consulting firm is here to give you a few job applicant traits to watch for in 2020. These traits are examples of things job applicants who aren't right for your company might exhibit. THE WRONG STUFF: Job Applicant Traits To Watch For in 2020

THE LATE ARRIVER.
If someone is showing up late to an interview, this can be a red flag. If they can't show up on time for an interview, how prompt will they be if they actually get the job? This is just part of being a responsible employee, plan ahead to where you can make it on time.

THE NEGATIVE JOB HISTORY
If the candidate has had a ton of jobs in different fields, that may be a sign that they don't know what they want to do with their lives. This may be a red flag because if you hire them, they may decide in six months they want to work somewhere else doing something different. Hire those who are passionate about what they do and are confident this is the industry they want to be in.

THE UNPREPARED JOB APPLICANT
If the candidate is asking you several questions about the company that he or she could have easily researched ahead of time, this can be a red flag. Also, candidates should come prepared with copies of their resume and a pen to write with. If someone is truly excited enough about a job opportunity and had a good enough resume to get them an interview, why wouldn't they take the time to learn more about the company ahead of time?

THE LACK OF ATTENTION TO DETAIL
Having typos on your resume can look very unprofessional and show the candidate doesn't have strong attention to detail. This can be a red flag, especially if you hiring someone for a writing job.

THE "NEGATIVE NANCY OR NED"
If a job candidate had a bad experience with a former manager and they vent to you about it in their interview, this can be a major red flag. This can also show that they don't work well with management and may possibly have a problem with authority.
